About Us

Cameron-Davies Opticians was set up by Robbie & Pat Cameron-Davies in 1973 and began as a small house practice in Portchester, near Fareham.  In 1998 Ian Loveday and Mike Peer entered the Partnership, followed a few years later by their wives Marion and Carolyn, Matthew Grinstead and Judith Drabble.
 
A friendly, professional approach with a high standard of service and quality products has always been the ethos of Cameron-Davies. This has proved extremely popular with our clients over the years, enabling us to now employ over 20 full and part-time staff at our 2 state-of-the art practices located in Southsea and Portchester near Portsmouth in Hampshire.

Although much larger than at the outset, the ‘family feel’ is far from lost. Our clients can build up a rapport with our receptionists, dispensing opticians & optometrists as they see the same faces from year to year – a rare thing these days it seems! 

We have made the decision to invest in great staff and excellent practices, and are confident that we provide total professional eye care at a fair price.
