Continuous academic study is at the heart of our professional services, as we believe it enables us to deliver the most comprehensive eye examinations on the high street.

All of our optometrists also work at Queen Alexandra Hospital Eye Department, ensuring advanced expertise and exposure to the latest developments in ophthalmology, meaning you will always benefit from the latest learning and thinking.

Our dispensing opticians are all fully qualified and very experienced. They work in close contact with lens and frame manufacturers in order to provide the best optical solutions for you.

Ian joined Robbie and Pat Cameron-Davies in 1994 and has seen many additions to the team and developments in the role of an optometrist over that time. He originally started his optical career in a contact lens practice in Brighton and still enjoys working in this field.
He has an interest in retinal problems, has an additional qualification in medical retina and has worked fortnightly at the QA hospital in the Macular clinic for the last 5 years.

Judith enjoys working at both practices and in the busy glaucoma clinic at QA hospital. She was awarded her Diploma in Glaucoma which is the highest post-grad qualification awarded by the College of Optometrists. She undertook this at Moorfields Eye Hospital/UCL and Cardiff University. She has successfully completed her Diploma in Therapeutics and is an independent prescriber. This means she can treat and manage eye conditions that might otherwise have involved a trip to the hospital. She is an external examiner and mentor for other Optometric post graduate students at Cardiff University. University of Sussex invited her to deliver a lecture to MSc Pharmacy students on the topic of glaucoma.

Stephan worked as an optician in Southern Germany and Berlin before he settled on the South Coast in 2006.
He has a special interest in the diagnoses and management of the glaucomas and the management of dry/watery eyes.
Stephan pursued further academic studies at City Uni London and the UCL.

Sarah has worked at Cameron-Davies for 20 years. She is passionate about delivering bespoke eye care and finding the best solution for her clients. She has a special interest in Macula Degeneration. Sarah has recently completed the post graduate certificate in Medical Retina.

With five years in the practice David loves the ability to really spend time with clients and go above and beyond standard eye care. He works between both practices and also regularly in a specialist clinic at QA hospital.
David is currently working towards his Independent prescribing qualification.

Rebecca joined Cameron-Davies in August 2019 with over 14 years experience. She also works in the glaucoma clinic at QA and enjoys the additional experience this gives her. She has a special interest in low vision. As well as conducting our regular extensive eye examinations, she offers low vision assessments and would be happy to discuss any visual concerns.

He loves to wear a variety of glasses depending on his mood, and wears daily disposable lenses on holidays.

She likes the variety of sometimes wearing her Lindberg spirit and N.O.W frames with Nikon varifocals, and sometimes using 1 day Acuvue multifocal contact lenses.

Marion’s friendly face is often hidden behind the scenes in the office, but she will lend her 30 years of experience in Portchester as needed, helping clients find their perfect frames. She wears glasses day-to-day but relies on contact lenses for social occasions.
